Animals have always been a central part of my life—especially dogs. Growing up, our family always had one, but I often found room in my heart (and bed) for the occasional stray. My mom may not have loved it, but she always supported my compassionate spirit.

That lifelong passion naturally evolved into a career. In 2004, after years in the retail world, I made the leap and enrolled at The Rochester Institute of All Breed Dog Grooming. What began as a small home salon quickly grew, leading me to co-found The Chatty K-9, a brick-and-mortar grooming salon in Central Square. A few years later, we expanded with The Chatty K-9 “On the Go”, a mobile grooming van that allowed us to bring care directly to our clients.

While I briefly returned to retail—working with brands like Francesca’s, Ulta Beauty, and Pier 1 Imports—I eventually shifted into business development with Paul Davis Restoration. Each chapter added new experiences, but my heart always remained with animals.

Now in 2025, I’m embracing semi-retirement and spending my days doing what I love most: caring for my family and running my kennel. It’s a life built on passion, purpose, and the joy of wagging tails.
